Hyundai-Kia Overtake Nissan in New Car Sales

Hyundai has been on a roll this year, while other automakers have struggled against poor consumer confidence and a devastating economy. The combination of quality provides, unique incentives, and delivering on the promise of value has all contributed to Hyundai’s recent success. Hyundai’s other brand, Kia, has also managed to attract cost-conscious car buyers to showrooms.

While other automakers continue to show devastating sales declines, Hyundai and Kia have not seen such severe problems. In fact, Hyundai and Kia have recently overtaken Nissan in 6th place for total new car sales. Sure this could be attributed to Nissan and other automakers selling fewer cars as opposed to Hyundai and Kia suddenly selling more cars, but New Mexico Kia stress that the sales figures certainly show that Hyundai and Kia are certainly doing the right thing in North America.

Hyundai has made numerous moves that have contributed to recent success. As the economy worsened, many automakers offered low interest rates and cash back incentives. But Hyundai Reading Pennsylvania point out that Hyundai took a vastly different approach with the Hyundai Assurance Program, which enabled new Hyundai buyers to return their cars without penalty should they lose their job or otherwise find themselves unable to make payments. Hyundai Assurance certainly reassured worried buyers, and other automakers scrambled to offer similar incentive programs.

In addition to unique incentives, one used car dealer Portland ME suggests Hyundai and Kia have been able to attract new buyers simply through high-quality products. This of course includes the luxurious Hyundai Genesis sedan which was awarded the 2009 North American Car of the Year, as well as the Genesis Coupe which was developed with the Infiniti G37 coupe as inspiration. A Kia parts Denver retailer has also seen success with the recently released Kia Soul compact crossover.

As the auto industry slowly moves forward, Philadelphia used Hyundai dealers say Hyundai and Kia seem to have positioned themselves very well. Hyundai appears to be continuing its bold push into the luxury car market, while Kia is revamping its lineup to offer more stylish vehicles, such as the Soul. With unbeatable warranties and incentives, Hyundai and Kia continue to offer cars that certainly offer some of the best value, which buyers will continue to demand. (more…)
